Architectural glass is the work where the glass is doing something more than filling a hole in a wall. Stair rails, glass walls, partitions, treads and storefront systems all carry loads, meet code requirements and have to be engineered rather than simply measured.
It is also the work where tolerances matter most. A panel in a rail system has to fit hardware that was ordered around it, and none of it can be adjusted on site, because structural glass is tempered or laminated and cannot be cut after the fact.
Rails that keep sightlines open through a stairwell or a mezzanine. These are engineered assemblies: the glass, the shoe or standoffs and the top rail all work together, and the specification depends on the run and the drop.
Interior walls that divide space without dividing light. Common in offices, and increasingly in homes for studies and entries.
Structural glass walked on rather than looked through, laminated in multiple plies so that a broken layer still carries load.
Aluminum framed systems for entries and shopfronts, including the commercial work around town. We have done a fair amount of it in Ketchum over the years.
A good share of this work comes through the trade rather than direct from an owner. Send us plans or elevations and we will work from those. Getting glass specified correctly at the drawing stage is far cheaper than discovering at install that a panel needs to be laminated or that a rail does not meet code.
